i really would like to learn how to sew.

Aunty Therese (Dads sister) is a great sewer. curtains, clothes , crafts, dance costumes- you name it - she did it. in fact she is quite crafty in many areas. i always loved that about her. and i would really love to be able to do the same.
after seeing all the wonderful things Naomi had sewn too- it just me want to learn how to sew even more! (those too cute dungarees she made for Anna!)
i guess to start i could go to my MIL for help- she has a machine and im sure would be able to show me some basics. before i go getting my own machine.

id love to make some for our girls. id also love to make them new curtains for their room. ones that match with the fairy/flowers/stars/ i have started for them. will have to see how this all goes!

firsts

well this is new... i have just set this up. now for the moment im not sure.

not sure if this is going to be a "just for me" thing, or if i will start throwing my link about to everyone...

maybe i could start with a few pics? i have been slowly changing the girls room. changing it from "nursery" to "girly" ... i scored these wall stickers off ebay. so i have some on the window (sorry its a tad dark isnt it? )

some on the mirror, door and drawers...

i want to make some wall deccorations too. probably out of some sort of timber- possibly just mdf- so i was thinking of doing either some like these fairies.. or the ones that are on the girls big bed doona covers...or i might just go with flowers or something...

well i think i will just leave this first post there for today.
